چکیده
Background & Objectives: Breast cancer is an aggressive cancer in females, worldwide and is the major cancer among Indian women. The cause of breast cancer includes environmental, genetic and hormonal factors. The present study is to analyse the expression of FOXO3a in Infiltrating Ductal carcinomas of breast cancer patients and corresponding normal tissues. Materials & methods: Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues of breast cancer and corresponding normal tissues of women, were included in this study. Expression of FOXO3a was analysed by IHC in relation to histology. Results: In Immunohistochemistry study FOXO3a was found to be expressed in breast cancer and its expression correlated with clinical and pathological parameters. Conclusions: FOXO3a expression showed a significant alteration in breast cancer patients. Author Affiliations: Department of Biotechnology, Periyar University, Periyar Palkalai Nagar, Salem-

Expression and Clinical Significance of Activating Transcription Factor 3 in Human Breast Cancer
Objective(s): Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women worldwide. This study investigated the expression and clinical significance of activating transcription factor 3 (ATF3) in human breast cancer and its relationship with the clinical outcome of breast cancer. Materials and Methods : ATF3 expressions were detected in 114 primary breast cancer tissues and ...
متن کاملExpression of Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase Protein in Human Breast Cancer
Background & Objectives: Anaplastic lymphoma Kinase (ALK) is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in the genesis of several human cancers. ALK was initially identified because of its involvement in anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL). ALK is believed to foster tumorigenesis following activation by autocrine and/or paracrine growth loops. Studies reveal that the presence of anti-ALK antibodies ...
متن کاملExpression Analysis of Foxo3a Gene in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in Southern Iranian Population
Background: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), the most common childhood cancer with a peak incidence in children from 2-5 years old, might be associated with poor prognosis and resistance to therapy in specific cytogenetic backgrounds. FoxO3a, a member of the forkhead class ‘O’ (FoxO) transcription factors, is a main downstream target of PI3K/AKT pathway which regulates different ...
متن کاملSilencing of rhomboid domain containing 1 to inhibit the metastasis of human breast cancer cells in vitro
Objective(s): A growing body of evidence indicates that rhomboid domain containing 1 (RHBDD1) plays an important role in a variety of physiological and pathological processes, including tumorigenesis. We aimed to determine the function of RHBDD1 in breast cancer cells. Materials and Methods: In this study, we used the Oncomine™ database to determine the expression patterns of RHBDD1 in normal a...
متن کاملEvaluating the clinical importance of long-non coding RNA MALAT1 expression in breast cancer
Background: Breast cancer is one of the major causes of illness and mortality among women. Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) have important role in tumor development and progression. Metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) is a lncRNA that deregulates in several cancers, however, its value in the diagnosis of breast cancer is unclear. This study was conducted to investigate...
